Holiday Decorating Donated for Two Local Fundraisers

Christmas-Purple-w-Peacocks

Each Holiday season, Linder’s volunteers its products and services to decorate homes for the Home Tours given by The North Oaks Guild and The Friends of Roseville Parks.  Each organization gives tours of local homes decorated to inspire your creative side and give you ideas for every room of your home.

The North Oaks Guild donates the proceeds to Children’s Hospital each year.  The tour earns between $30,000 and $40,000 each year, and since its inception in 1962, the North Oaks Guild I has contributed a total of $670,257.00 to Children’s Hospital.

The Friends of Roseville Parks is a non-profit organization that raises funds for improvements in Roseville parks. All proceeds go to the Roseville Parks department for renovations and installation.

Spring Tours for School Children

Hundreds of children get to see and experience first hand our greenhouses including our seeding, soil, and transplanting areas as well as the numerous growing greenhouses. However, the biggest hit is usually seeing our very own parrot “Baby” in our Retail Garden Center!

Here are just a couple of the many wonderful thank you notes we receive each year from school children who come to visit our greenhouse each spring.

To create affordable housing for those most in need in our region.

Why do we need affordable homes?
It is estimated that 50,000 more affordable homes will be needed in Minnesota by the year 2020.

CommonBond Communities develops and manages top-quality apartments and townhouses at affordable rents.  And, they are nationally known for their Advantage Centers-onsite technology-based resource rooms where adults find and keep jobs, kids get help with homework and seniors get the services they need to live independently longer.

Linder’s is proud to display a number of these doors in our garden center in St. Paul MN to generate awareness of this program.  Stop in and see our beautiful displays and learn more about CommonBond.

Linder’s has supported CommonBond Communities for more than 10 years in their work to preserve, build and manage apartments and town homes while providing life-changing resident services.  Their mission is to build community by creating affordable housing a steppingstone to success.
