2010 Plastic Recycling

Linder’s Garden Center will accept your plastic pots for recycling from April 15th 2010.

Thank you very much to all our conscientious customers that brought your plastic pots back to Linder’s Garden Center for recycling in 2009. With your efforts the Nursery Industry was able to recycle 350,000 pounds of plastic pots in 2009! Yep that’s 350,000 pounds.

That is a fantastic effort and we all should be proud to know this did not go in our land fills and was ground up and will be used for recycled plastic products.

Thank you and congratulations for this wonderful result! As a member of the original “Green” industry; Linder’s Greenhouses, Garden Center, and Flower Marts are committed to doing our part in reducing our impact on the environment by recycling as well as providing eco-friendly services and products for our customers.

In our retail and production greenhouses, we compost our plant material and reuse and/or recycle plastic pots, trays, paper, cardboard, metal and any other products we use in an effort to help keep our earth clean.

Would you like to help reduce the amount of waste going into our landfills?

Just bring in your plastic pots and trays to Linder’s Garden Center or Flower Marts during store hours. We are accepting Plastic Pots of any color or size; please bring them in clean and with tags removed.

Why recycle? We dump far too much plastic into our landfills, when they could otherwise be made into fencing, playground structures, pallets, and recycled garden furniture.

Help us make this a huge success again in 2010!
